Its sturdy blade made of the new extremely strong stainless laminate VG10 custom steel is convex grounded for extra strong cutting power with no risk for edge breakage. The modified clippoint design works well for penetrating purposes, the long curved edge is ideal for skinning. The blade is long enough for lighter chopping and won't break, it's full 5mm (0.2") thick! The checkered handle gives a good grip even when your hands are cold or wet. Depending on your needs, you have the possibility to chose from two kinds of sheaths, an open-top dangler in thick, black leather or a zytel sheath with snappers around the handle. The powerful blade is made of extremely hard yet tough laminated VG10 steel and will withstand the stress of hard use. The knife is superb to chop with, but also works very well with daily tasks, thanks to the ergonomic grip. The full tang goes entirely through the handle, so you can strike the end of it without breaking the grip. The sturdy black zytel sheath allows you to fasten the knife on your belt or your pack - even upside down. Some things just have to work, despite anything thrown at you. Model A2 is such a tool. It is an extremely durable knife that will never let you down - a knife that can stand up under incredible strain. The reason for its remarkable performance is our use of a newly-developed laminated stainless steel, with an edge consisting of our now-famous VG10 steel and with sides consisting of resilient 420J2 steel. The combination of these steels gives a blade which keeps its edge extremely well and yet is also extremely strong. Since we supply this knife with a convex edge, it is suitable for both cutting and striking. A well-sewn leather sheath is included as standard.
